The Project
North Worcester Primary Academy is a purpose built, two form entry infant and primary school, set over two floors. It was constructed on a brownfield site on the outskirts of Worcester. The project was procured and delivered through the governments Education Funding Agency Free Schools programme.
The new Primary school was constructed over a 41-week programme, completing in September 2019.
Our Role
Perito were appointed as Quality Monitor, our role required us to undertake a fortnightly inspection of the construction works and reviews of contractor quality assurance records along with the provision of a monthly summary report with comments tracker and photographic schedule.
Key Outcomes
- Providing our client with assurance that construction quality standards were being adhered to and the contractor was being diligent in regard to quality checks.
- Providing an independent review of the works to comment on quality matters and progress on site.
- Providing pupils with a new fully compliant school to enhance and support their education and improve their learning experience.
- Provision of a modern, energy efficient durable and easy to maintain school building which is fully compliant both with current legislative standards as well as the Governments output specification for new schools.
